Amaranth---Nightwish

Baptized with a perfect name
  The doubting one by heart
  Alone without himself
War between him and the day
  Need someone to blame
In the end, little he can do alone
You believe but what you see
You receive but what you give
  Caress the one
The never-fading rain in your heart
  The tears of snow-white sorrow
  Caress the one
  The hiding amaranth
In a land of the daybreak
  Apart from the wandering pack
In this brief flight of time we reach
  For the ones, whoever dare
You believe but what you see
You receive but what you give
  Caress the one
The never-fading rain in your heart
  The tears of snow-white sorrow
  Caress the one
  The hiding amaranth
In a land of the daybreak
  Reaching, searching for something untouched
Hearing voices of the never-fading calling
  Caress the one
The never-fading rain in your heart
  The tears of snow-white sorrow
  Caress the one
  The hiding amaranth
In a land of the daybreak

What's the influence of the suffrage movement for American women?

Alice Paul led the militant wing of the suffrage movement, realizing that the vote would bring women legal equality. As the main leader and strategist of the campaign, along with Lucy Burns and others, she led a successful campaign for womens suffrage that resulted in the passage of the Nineteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution in 1920.(She wrote the ERA(Equal Rights Amendment) to Congress in 1923.)
Then what is the influence for American women? We can find a representative from a movie which is about this movement------- Iron Jawed Angels

Emily Leighton is a fiction character of this movie who represents the evolving attitudes of many women in this pivotal period in history. Leightons growing awareness of her own worth and autonomy is worth nothing through careful observation on the viewers part.

At first, Emily met Doris Stevens. At that time she did not pay attention to her. However, after she saw Doriss body language, she found Doriss enthusiasm and resolution for their movement. At this time we can find Emily was fascinated from her facial expression.
Then she met Alice Paul and Lucy Burns during a party. But this time she still cannot talk about their thoughts with them because of her husband. Her husband is a senator. From this scene, we can know Emily was a traditional woman, she is loyal to her husband.

Next scene is the parade. Although Emily did not join this parade, but she stood in the crowd. From her body language, we can know she was interested in it ,she wanted to join them, and she tried to see more about this parade. But after a few minutes, the crowd began to be confusion. She just ran away with her kid. So she was still afraid. She was afraid about the danger of this movement.
But she did not stop thinking because of the danger. When her husband came back home, she was writing something. But when she found her husband was back, she hid the notebook. She did not want her husband to know anything about what she write. Maybe its about the militant wing of the suffrage movement.
Unfortunately, Emilys husband knew what Emily did. So he closed Emilys account. Then she began to know it was true that it was unequal between men and women. Depend on a kind of mother love, she did not want her daughter to have the same life as hers. So she decided to fight for freedom.
Emily began to help the American Womens Party. She brought some hot drinks to the men who were standing out of the White House. Pleasant hours fly past, after Emilys husband found she took their daughters to join the suffrage activities. At this time, Emily was almost mad. But she know it was not the right time to give up.

Emily continued to join the suffrage activities. However, the government cannot bear these women any more. The police caught Alice Paul, Lucy Burns and the other women who stood out of the White House, including Emily. But this time, Emily seemed very quiet. Her courage helped her to face it.
In the prison, the members of American Womens Party was maltreated, then they had a hunger strike. From Emilys eyes we cannot find any fear from her eyes any more, only determination and hope. Especially when they were singing, Emily seemed very honored.
After a few days, Emily met her husband in the prison. From her body language and her face, we can know her body was weak because of the hunger strike. Moreover, we also can feel her determination was stronger than any time. Because she knew what she did is not only for herself, but also for her daughters. Emily give a piece of paper to her husband. It was the story about their prison life. Her husband gave it to a newspaper office.
Then the government released the members of American Womens Party because of the pressure from the society······

From fear to firm, from traditional to fight for her freedom, for women can be equal with men. Emily was changed by this movement.

How about others? I believe many women began to know be equal with men is their rights, they began to know courage is very important for winning freedom.

Are we free to make our choices in life?

Are we free to make our own choices in our life? My answer is No Why?
Although our society can not limit our thoughts, it can limit our actions. So sometimes we have to do something we dont want to do. And if we always do something we want to do, we can not live in this society any more.
For example, here is a little boy. In his view, world is simple, just something he wants and something does not want. And he need not to be worried about how to make money. Because his parents will buy anything he want. He just need to play.
When he is old enough to go to school, he need to finish his homework. Then he need to make a choice, his homework or his game. As we know, playing game is a boys nature. But if he chooses playing game, then he will not have enough time to finish his homework and have a review.
After many years, this boy will be like us to choose which university he can study in. Then he need to think about which university he should apply, and whether his parents pay it or not.
We can think bigger, if he is old enough, he need to work to earn money for his family. If he does not want to go to work, he will be fired, and he can not earn money for his family any more.

From this example, we can know,we have a lot of choices in our life. And the importance is we can not always choose which is we want to do. Gradually, we have learned to choose which is we should do.

This is a gift from our society. But, Can our thoughts do nothing to us? My answer is still No

Our thoughts are free , it belongs to us. Nobody can control it. And society just can effect our actions, our actions depend on our thoughts.
It means our thoughts can decide what we will do, and society can tell us what we should do. Our thoughts can lead the way to us. It can make us to be not lost in our life.

Physical or Sedentary?

To be honest, I am a physical person. I love to do outdoor activities with my friends. Playing basketball, going to KTV, riding bikes ,or even walking along beach, these things can make me feel relax and let me konw the wonderful part of my life. Whatever the weather is , as long as I could enjoy it with frash air, hanging out will always be the first choice during holidays.

(It is so beautiful,right?)
However, people can not keep themsevles energetic. Sometimes I need to be sedentary, to keep myself calm down and be patiente. Time is going, but that does not mean that we have to keep on going. I need to think about my life, did I do everything perfectly? Were there something I did wrong? Think about those things has already been my habit. Of course, when I am going to do an exam or a test, I should use all the time as well I can to review learning stuff. Study require inner-peace, being too activity is not a good idea. To correct the way of my life, to get a higer mark in my class, being sedentary is necessary.
Being phsical and sedentary are two parts of life. No one can say he is always energetic or quiet.
